Rene has been training and coaching for over 20 years. Originally from Nicaragua and raised in Costa Rica, Rene has enjoyed great success here in the states. He was named as a member of the Olympic Development Coaching staff in southern California. Rene joined the AAC team in 2007 and was voted Best Personal Trainer of Annapolis 2010-2011 by “What’s Up Magazine”. He was also recognized twice as runner up for best trainer in Annapolis by The Capital Gazette. Although he is experienced working with all ages and abilities, Rene has developed a strong affinity for working with those suffering from postural problems, cancer and auto-immune disease. Rene maintains that no matter one’s limitations, everyone feels better when they exercise.

Luke was a scholastic athlete and received immense accolades for his play both on the football field and basketball court. He has over 10 years of experience in sports conditioning, including 10 years as a certified personal trainer. He uses an integrated, whole-person approach, meaning that he considers health, nutrition, motivation, and lifestyle factors for each of his clients. Luke is notorious for creating strong connections and established relationships with his clients, fostering trust and accountability. His diligence reinforces the importance of consistency, and he tirelessly works to make health and fitness a part of his client’s everyday lives.

Mary is a Registered Nurse, who spent many years giving care to acute and chronically ill individuals, ranging from newborns to the elderly. When Annapolis Athletic Club opened in 2003, Mary decided to apply her personal training and nursing knowledge to the general population. Mary has a passion for helping people to function as well a possible in daily life. Mary is a fan of outdoor activities, particularly running and cycling. A volunteer by nature, Mary donates much of her time to local running events and elderly assistance.

As a Finland native, Anna played competitive sports for her entire life. At the young age of 15, Anna was selected to attend Finland’s prestigious Athletic Academy High School, where she shared her expertise and experience by coaching the girl’s youth soccer team. Anna was also chosen as a member of the Finland Women’s Soccer team, which she played on for 5 years. Upon relocating to the United States, Anna decided to take her passion for athletics and fitness to the next level by becoming a Certified Personal Trainer. Anna is highly regarded for her compassionate, intuitive approach. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and fitness levels and believes everyone can become a stronger, better version of themselves.

Eileen is originally from San Diego, where her love of fitness began. In the state of California, it is mandatory for students to take physical education until the age of 21. This notion that fitness should be a part of everyday life has been an anchor in Eileen’s life. A long time runner and self-proclaimed “gym rat,” Eileen typically ran at least two marathons each year. When Eileen found P90X, she decided to try her hand as an online coach for Beachbody, with which she was wildly successful. Ready to take her education to the next level, Eileen became a personal trainer in 2016.
Eileen is married to a career Navy Man, and has two grown sons. Travis is a USMC Special Warfare Officer living in North Carolina. Andrew, a Banker for M&T Bank, is closer to home in Baltimore. Eileen loves meeting new people, and is always up for an adventure. Her philosophy is to always be kind to everyone, especially yourself!

Elizabeth hails from the eastern shore of MD. She grew up playing lacrosse (as any kid from MD!) and continued playing throughout college. After college, she took her love for the game to the West Coast where she coached at the collegiate level. It was in Los Angeles where she found her passion for fitness and helping others. She uses her knowledge, skills and positive personality to ensure clients of all ages and fitness levels hit or exceed their fitness goals. When she’s not training in the gym, she enjoys being outside and on the water sailing and boating.

Emily’s interest in fitness was influenced by years of playing sports and involvement in outdoor activities. Originally from the Annapolis area, Emily played soccer throughout high school and college. She continues her love of the sport by coaching girl’s soccer at South River High School. Emily began training at a therapeutic fitness facility in Rockville, MD. She worked with individuals of all ages and abilities helping them reach their goals to enjoy life to the fullest. Emily believes she can bring that value to her clients by relating their workouts to activities that are important to them. She is passionate about enhancing the quality of life for people through fitness and health. In her leisure time, Emily enjoys traveling and paddleboarding.

Tori is originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Tori excelled in athletics growing up, playing basketball, cross country, tennis, softball. She has worked as a trainer and group exercise instructor for the past 8 years with previous experience in Corporate Wellness. She grew up racing sailboats (third generation) on the Bay of Green Bay and Great Lakes and would lead Yoga and stretch classes before regattas. Tori raced the largest freshwater race in the world in 2017 (The Trans-Superior). She recently moved to Annapolis for more sailing opportunities and to pursue her passion for helping others achieve their goals and helping them stay active and motivated.

Amanda began her career in the fitness industry over 25 years ago. She is a group fitness instructor, a personal trainer, and a wellness coach. Her desire to improve her knowledge of anatomy and physiology influenced her to become a massage therapist. With over 14 years of massage therapy experience combined with her thorough understanding of how exercise and daily postural habits reshape the body, Amanda has designed an approach to overall health. She corrects muscular imbalances and improves joint stability and mobility. As a trainer, Amanda has worked in a variety of facilities, including tennis clubs, gyms, senior centers, and both public and private schools. She has had the opportunity to motivate and encourage clients of all ages and ability levels. Amanda’s genuine concern for her clients’ complete health is evident by her committed and joyful work ethic.

Asher has been involved in athletics most of his life. He began playing tennis at the age of 5 and has been playing competitively for most of his life. He was a dual sport athlete in high-school (tennis and lacrosse) and since graduating, has coached both high school and youth tennis programs. He also works out on a daily basis and firmly believes physical fitness should be a priority in everyone’s mind. Aside from training, he is an avid musician and singer-songwriter, a big fan of dogs, and a property manager for a local real estate development.

Born and raised in Louisiana, Josh is a dedicated trainer who is passionate about his clients’ success. He understands the importance of a proper diet and incorporates complementary nutrition advice into all of his training plans. In his free time, Josh is very focused on his personal fitness goals. He is an avid powerlifter and recently participated in a strongman competition. He also enjoys hiking, traveling, reading non-fiction, and trying to beat his wife at board games.

Laura was born in Minneapolis, M.N., and then moved to South Korea at age 6, where she began training in Tae Kwon Do. Laura returned to the U.S. after 9 years and has considered Annapolis her second home ever since. She played soccer and basketball through high school and college, in addition to a variety of other sports. Through years of playing team sports, Laura learned first hand that health is one of our most valuable assets. This inspired her to study exercise physiology. Laura is very passionate about helping people perform at their best and reach their fitness goals. When she isn’t training, Laura enjoys playing sports or other activities with friends, such as hiking, bowling, golf, and tennis.
