CLUB GENERAL MANAGER
Karen has been part of the AAC team since 2005. She started out as the Director of Childcare, then Operations and is now the General Manager. She brings a depth of knowledge and experience to the position. She enjoys biking and spending time with friends and family.

GROUP X COORDINATOR
Karen has been with the club since its inception in 2003, managing and running the group fitness department. As a group fitness instructor, Karen is known for her tough workouts, effective motivation, and enduring energy. An accomplished spin instructor, Pilates Trainer, Holistic Health Coach, Personal Trainer and Bikini Boot Camp creator, she teaches all class formats. Karen's greatest achievement is making a difference in people's lives by changing their health and well being. A community builder, she takes a personal interest in every member with the hope that they will have enjoyed their workout experience and will feel like they are part of the AAC family. Her true passion is group fitness and it shows in her teaching and directing.

Lucas Humphries
HEAD / MASTER TRAINER
Luke was a scholastic athlete and received immense accolades for his play both on the football field and basketball court. He has over 10 years of experience in sports conditioning, including 10 years as a certified personal trainer. He uses an integrated, whole-person approach, meaning that he considers health, nutrition, motivation, and lifestyle factors for each of his clients. Luke is notorious for creating strong connections and established relationships with his clients, fostering trust and accountability. His diligence reinforces the importance of consistency, and he tirelessly works to make health and fitness a part of his client's everyday lives.

Eileen Proulx
MASTER TRAINER
Eileen is originally from San Diego, where her love of fitness began. In the state of California, it is mandatory for students to take physical education until the age of 21. This notion that fitness should be a part of everyday life has been an anchor in Eileen's life. A long time runner and self-proclaimed "gym rat," Eileen typically ran at least two marathons each year. When Eileen found P90X, she decided to try her hand as an online coach for Beachbody, with which she was wildly successful. Ready to take her education to the next level, Eileen became a personal trainer in 2016.
Eileen is married to a career Navy Man, and has two grown sons. Travis is a USMC Special Warfare Officer living in North Carolina. Andrew, a Banker for M&T Bank, is closer to home in Baltimore. Eileen loves meeting new people, and is always up for an adventure. Her philosophy is to always be kind to everyone, especially yourself!Specialty

Josh Olson
MASTER TRAINER
Born and raised in Louisiana, Josh is a dedicated trainer who is passionate about his clients' success. He understands the importance of a proper diet and incorporates complementary nutrition advice into all of his training plans. In his free time, Josh is very focused on his personal fitness goals. He is an avid powerlifter and recently participated in a strongman competition. He also enjoys hiking, traveling, reading non-fiction, and trying to beat his wife at board games.

Amanda Tasi
Amanda began her career in the fitness industry over 25 years ago. She is a group fitness instructor, a personal trainer, and a wellness coach. Her desire to improve her knowledge of anatomy and physiology influenced her to become a massage therapist. With over 14 years of massage therapy experience combined with her thorough understanding of how exercise and daily postural habits reshape the body, Amanda has designed an approach to overall health. She corrects muscular imbalances and improves joint stability and mobility. As a trainer, Amanda has worked in a variety of facilities, including tennis clubs, gyms, senior centers, and both public and private schools. She has had the opportunity to motivate and encourage clients of all ages and ability levels. Amanda’s genuine concern for her clients’ complete health is evident by her committed and joyful work ethic.

Rene Velado
MASTER TRAINER
Rene has been training and coaching for over 20 years. Originally from Nicaragua and raised in Costa Rica, Rene has enjoyed great success here in the states. He was named as a member of the Olympic Development Coaching staff in southern California. Rene joined the AAC team in 2007 and was voted Best Personal Trainer of Annapolis 2010-2011 by “What’s Up Magazine”. He was also recognized twice as runner up for best trainer in Annapolis by The Capital Gazette. Although he is experienced working with all ages and abilities, Rene has developed a strong affinity for working with those suffering from postural problems, cancer and auto-immune disease. Rene maintains that no matter one’s limitations, everyone feels better when they exercise.

Starting as a high school athlete and former captain of the Walter Johnson Varsity Wrestling team, Joseph developed a lifelong passion for health, wellness, improving lives, giving back, and helping people.

Samantha has an extensive background in coaching, teaching, and training both children and adults. Samantha was an elite runner, participating in 23 marathons and placing in the top 5 overall. On top of training, she is a certified Health and Phys. Ed teacher. Samantha’s passion for teaching and coaching track, cross country, and swimming has contributed to her success in a variety of athletic interests for her clients.

Mary Cofran
MASTER TRAINER
Mary is a Registered Nurse, who spent many years giving care to acute and chronically ill individuals, ranging from newborns to the elderly. When Annapolis Athletic Club opened in 2003, Mary decided to apply her personal training and nursing knowledge to the general population. Mary has a passion for helping people to function as well a possible in daily life. Mary is a fan of outdoor activities, particularly running and cycling. A volunteer by nature, Mary donates much of her time to local running events and elderly assistance.

Mary Christhilf
MASTER TRAINER
Mary Christhilf is a highly-trained and experienced instructor, trainer, and coach, who provides one-on-one Pilates sessions in a safe and friendly environment. She has a solid record of achieving strong, positive results with her clients using exercises based on the classical method taught by Joseph Pilates.
Mary has been active in the fitness industry for more than twenty years. She began her career as an aerobics instructor certified through AFFA. She is trained in Pilates through Peak, and holds certifications in Reformer, Mat, Chair, and Barrel. She also holds two Rehabilitation certifications in the newest equipment, the Corealign. Mary has worked with industry notables, such as Elizabeth Larkam, Brent Anderson of Polestar, and Karena Thek of Scolio-Pilates. She is an Ace Certified Personal Trainer and Reiki Certified. Mary has also worked with the TRX and Barre programs, integrating both with Pilates movements.
As a result of working with clients who have been injured or are recovering from surgery, Mary Christhilf is now focused on movements for restoration and healing. She holds advanced education certifications in injuries and pathologies, and is certified in Breast Cancer and Pink Ribbon Pilates. She is trained in mitigating the effects of scoliosis and has special experience with hip, knee and shoulder injuries and pathologies.
